This Saturday afternoon we started off Daddy’s birthday celebrations by having some fun at Riverside park, there was a great event which involved a lot of craft stalls, fun things for children, live music and of course the dragon boat racing. The children loved watching the boats, they both had their face painted for the first time too and we had fun on the bouncy castle. It was a good afternoon and completely amazed at how much they liked the dragon boats.

They have never had their faces painted because Noah used to be frightened of it, I think he had a little whisker on him when he was in his lion outfit on his 2nd birthday but he rubbed it off as he didnt like it, he wasn’t so sure about it back then. Saturday he really wanted spiderman and of course sat very still whilst the lady painted his face. Isla also sat extremely still, she wanted Tinkerbell flowers on the side of her face and I thought she just looked adorable.

After we had our faces painted we went to watch the dragon boat races, they loved it. Isla was completely drawn to the racing, she had her concentration face on and I just love it when she is focused on something – she looks very cute. Noah really enjoyed it too and was cheering them on as they sped past. It was good fun.

After the boat races had finished we went on the bouncy castle and the little ones had a lot of fun bouncing around for 5 minutes. It was lovely to see them so happy.
