Beat the crowd by shopping for your prom dress early

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Prom is one of the best times in a person’s life. You will be able to get dressed up, spend time with a date or your friends in a way you will never experience again. Prom is at the end of the year, and usually all of your peers go their own way. Whether you go on to college, or work for a living, prom is the last time you will get to spend a lot of time together before life responsibilities start to take precedence. That is why it is very important that a woman looks nice for prom and find a great dress that she can dance in and look amazing in.

The hottest new way to shop for everything from razors to ties, socks to innerwear, and even full wardrobe is to join a replenishing subscriptions for these items. While Amazon got ahead of the game with the subscription option for items you might consider replenishing frequently (think paper plates, diapers, or cleaning supplies) it wasn’t until recently that companies began to experience tremendous success by offering items you might not think of in the same way you think of paper towels — but maybe you should, and here’s why.

Today was the first day back after a long Easter holidays. The kids were very ready to get back to school. I couldn’t believe how the school runs hit me, I had forgotten how far the walk is. Heels and school runs do not mix haha. Silly Grandad came over after school, so whilst Isla was at Rainbows Noah played football at the park. They are both very tired now and Grandad!

Oh and I have an offer for my lovely readers 30% off full price items at The Body Shop, whoop whoop!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

For most people, education stops at school, but to continue improving your skills in later life, lifelong habits are key to being successful and more productivity in both work and play. Continuing to learn in later life can have huge benefits on both your body and mind, as keeping an active mind helps to keep an active body. Getting into good habits with continuous learning can also boost your abilities in a working environment and opens you up to new experiences and opportunities. Taking courses and workshops at any time in life is also a great way to meet new people and interact with others with similar interests to broaden your horizons.

Number 1 reason why you need to upgrade your mattress

Reading Time: 3 minutes

A well-rested parent is a caregiver who’s “up for anything” – this is a lesson I’ve learned after becoming a Mummy. When I sleep well, I have so much energy to face whatever challenges the next day may bring. Rest is essential mainly when your children are very active, and you need to keep up with them. Husband too! If you’re sleep deprived, you simply won’t be up to the task. Maybe it’s time to upgrade your mattress.

How to make the most of your me time, couple time & family time

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Life is buzzing, and you often find yourself running after time. We all do. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take the time to stop and create a moment of peace for yourself, with your partner or with your children. After all, you can’t live a life of stress without recharging your batteries. Indeed, while you can find nutritious fuel for your body through the right food all day long, the fuel for your soul isn’t that easy to get by. That’s exactly why you need some me time, couple time and naturally family time. It’s important that you separate these types of emotional energy in your life. It is a common mistake for new mothers to focus so much on their role as a mummy that they forget that they are also a woman and a wife – or a girlfriend. You don’t need to choose your role; you can be a parent, a lover and a strong woman.

Growing up I was not very confident about my body, my self esteem was quite low. That’s not to say I wasn’t confident, as I was in terms of speaking to peers and grown ups. I am going to use how I felt growing up to try and encourage, using confidence building techniques, my children as they grow up.

A guide to selecting the best housing option for your aging parents

Reading Time: 3 minutes

If you are currently gearing up to have a ‘big talk’ about the future with your elderly parents, you’re probably feeling a bit nervous about the outcome. Thankfully, I do not have to worry about this as both of my parents are in their 50’s, but it does make me worry about how things will be. Especially as I have watched how things with my GrandFathers have developed over the years, it’s difficult. It’s an emotional rollercoaster for everyone involved. While making decisions on behalf of a mentally diminished parent can be emotionally draining, there are fewer worries about how to approach the situation and how to bring up the subject of outside care. With cognitively able parents, it can be tough just getting past the mental barrier that says ‘I’m the child. I can’t be in charge of this.’

Ha! New husband sounds funny. He is obviously my husband, the only husband I have ever had and will ever have. But, over the past few months my husband has been working incredibly hard to loose weight and tone up. He has done a remarkable job, so much so that all of his clothes do not fit him. With three wedding invitations this year he had to do something about it.
