A family walk in the woods

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Last Sunday morning we took a walk in the woods near our home, literally a 10 minute drive and we ended up in a great spot. Perfect for autumnal photos too as there was a nice long row of trees either side of the leafy scattered path ways. The children were free to roam about and have fun safely, the perfect kind of family walk in the woods!

The essential cruise fashion checklist for Mums

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Since going on the cruise on the beautiful Carnival Vista, I have learnt a lot about what you really need to take and what you could live without. I absolutely loved some items that I purchased before we travelled, but when I realised there wasn’t a lot of room in the suitcase I had to make some tough decisions. There are things that I wished I had taken and things that could have stayed at home. Here is my little cruise fashion checklist that I would suggest every Mum needs before going on a cruise:

There is going to be a huge mix of bloggers and I am so excited to get meeting them.

A Spring wedding outfit

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It was the first wedding of the year for us over bank holiday weekend and a Spring outfit was necessary, I was really conscious that hubby was wearing a royal blue suit and so I wanted to match up with him. I went into Next and three of the lovely staff helped me source the perfect outfit.

Those little renovation projects

Reading Time: 3 minutes

There are many things I want to do with our home, like making the lounge the right “colour” with the right furniture in it and I really need to sort the playroom out so that it is warm in winter and cool in summer. So many things on the renovation list, but where do you start?

#NEXTKIDS – Kids summer range 2014

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Next put on a fantastic event this week, where myself and the mini Constants had a little adventure to Next headquarters to see the amazing new ranges coming to stores  in the next month or so. It was like we had our own little Next store to browse around and there were some adorable items that I wish I could have taken home with me.

My little summer wishlist…

Reading Time: 3 minutes

So, I think summer is on the way! I am pretty sure of it, I have seen this yellow round thing in the sky a couple of times this year – so I know it is still up there somewhere. I know we haven’t even really got into spring properly yet, but I am starting to plan out my summer wardrobe and the things I need for our summer holiday.

next go wild… SS13 Collection

Reading Time: 4 minutes

NEXTSite-Logonext (2)MummyConstant and MummyBird, complete with mini Constant’s and Bird’s were lucky enough to go to London Zoo last week to see the new SS13 Collection for the childrenswear. This was my very first blogger event and I went with the little ones, something I have learnt is a little ambitious whilst they are so young – it didn’t help that it was quite cold. But we were very excited to play with all the toys and Mummy was especially excited to see the clothes. As soon as I entered the room I could tell I was going to love the clothes, the colours looked fantastic and the patterns on the clothes were even better.

Mummy Constant is supporting: Next Team GB Scarf

Reading Time: 2 minutes

So, how are you styling your Next Team GB scarf this summer? Next have sent out some of these fabulous scarves to bloggers and asked them to style it for summer, so that’s what we did. We were sent the navy blue scarf with the red and blue lion design in the middle of it, as you can see from the image to the left. Well, how did we style our scarf, I hear you ask?

We styled our scarf on Isla’s changing bag, what better way to show it off? The bag goes “EVERYWHERE” Isla goes and she goes everywhere I do, so I couldn’t think of a better place to put it! I think it looks fab and shows it off quite nicely if you ask me! The scarf is great quality, a very nice design and comes in a fancy box – it made me feel very special. Its a very special scarf to have!

The scarf can be bought for £10 for the 90x90cm size and £5 for the 50x50cm size and you can buy it from any Next store. You can help support London 2012 for this years Olympics by going out and getting your scarf… and if you are supporting London 2012 why not share the love on Twitter “I am supporting London 2012 with @nextofficial and @mummyconstant #next2012scarf http://wp.me/p2923n-DP“. How will you style yours, show it off to the world!

What will you be wearing on Valentines Day?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Next have released this fab app in time for Valentines day, not only does it help with choosing that perfect outfit for your romantic date, it helps choose the perfect gift too!

All you have to do is answer a few questions about your other half and the clever little gift selector will come up with something fabulous.  I must admit I always panic about what to wear on Valentines day and I especially worry about what to get the hubby. I want to buy him something that I know he will like and that says “See, I do really know you inside out!”

An outfit finder for me this year is going to be an essential, 6 months pregnant for Valentines day has got to be a tricky one. Where do I start? I tried the app and what it came up with, funnily enough, would be very suitable for a very pregnant person too! Which made my day.

If you have left it until the 13th February to sort out your gift and outfit, then fear not, Next will do next day delivery on orders before 9pm and if you still need more choice, you can see a further selection of dresses and shoes to make the perfect Valentine’s outfit on Next.co.uk, so all will not be lost!

So, if you are as un organised as Mummy Constant, then have a play with this app and see what outfit you should be wearing this Valentines and what is that perfect gift for your partner….
